GorkaMorka: Rebel Grot Conversion

The diminutive greenskins are spelling trouble...

Starting with the Red Gobbo, I began converting Rebel Grot models to build a mob for future games. When creating a mold for the Red Gobbo, I also made one for a classic Rebel Grot model holding two revolvers. Having made some copies of the model, I decided it was time to convert one of them, modifying their pistols to be of a more reasonable size!

Similar to my recent Red Gobbo conversion, I focused primarily on modifying the weapons on the original Brian Nelson sculpt.

For the model's first revolver, I reworked it to reduce the size. This was done by replacing the bulk of the pistol with a smaller plastic pistol from the Adeptus Arbites. The barrel was replaced with a smaller brass tube and some I sculpted additional details like a front and rear sight.

For the second pistol, I opted for a simpler approach, replacing the revolver with a classic Autopistol. Like the revolver, I added a front and rear sight and replaced the barrel with a small brass tube.

I modified the shell casings on the model's bandolier, adding bullets on the front of each of the shells.

To tie up the model with a nice base, I tried to create a wasteland look by adding shards of rock created with modeling putty and a selection of scrap. I am very happy with how the model turned out and am looking forward to working with more rebel grots. The future is getting greener by the day!
