Dragged into Turbolasers Episode 96 - Blood Bowl Sevens

Sevens!

In this episode we are joined by our friend Brad Smith to talk about our most recent experience playing Blood Bowl. We tried to play Blood Bowl in various forms over the years, particularly after the re-releases in 1996 and 2020, along with a stint playing Blitz Bowl. This time we played Sevens, a variant of Blood Bowl that uses a smaller pitch and less players, but largely uses the core Blood Bowl rules. We chat about how easy the variant is to play and how long games take, along with our ultimate opinion of Sevens.

  1. Great episode, as usual. I'll have to check this out. Bloodbowl has always been on my radar but I have never actually played a game, despite owning one of the boxed sets (not the current one!) and a few teams--one of which is almost fully painted!--as I don't have any friends who play it and it is a bit daunting to get into I think mainly due to the length of the games...

    1. Yeah, the game can be pretty daunting to actually play, but I think it is worth it. I do think Seven reduces the burden a little bit, so might be a good place to start.
