Dragged into Turbolasters Episode 35: Space Wolves and Forge World, a steady decline in quality

How the mighty have fallen...

With the release of a host of new terrible Space Wolf releases from Forge World recently, we decided to talk a little about what makes them such a disappointment, and how they speak to Forge World’s recent inconsistency in model quality. We touch on how digital sculpting has both helped and hurt many of their designs and how the incredible popularity of the Horus Heresy has put a strain on a relatively small company. We also talk about the newly released Rogal Dorn model, and how he may be Forge World’s best Primarch yet.

  1. Good episode as usual--sadly I can't disagree with any of your criticisms of these kits--they are rubbish. Dorn is a great model though so hopefully all is not lost!

    1. Yeah, I really cannot fathom how FW would release those models...

  2. Wonderful as always gentlemen. The Space Wolf models are definitely upsetting on numerous levels, but that Dorn is truly one of the best models I have seen in a long time. Dorn's always been my favorite so very glad to see him done justice, eventually will have to pick that one up when I get the million other models painted.

    1. Yeah, I am really pleased that Dorn was done the justice he deserves!

  3. Thanks god! I am the only one in my game group that see the new SW terminators as an aberration, details crude (the fur is like I make it 10 years ago!! when I started working with green stuff) and the anatomy looks even worse
