Let freedom ring with a shotgun blast!
The biggest addition since the last post is attaching the combat shotgun. This represents the most significant greenstuff work I have ever attempted, requiring me to resculpt all of the fingers on the guardsman’s left hand. Overall, I am happy with out it turned out.
Sculpting the guardsman's hand went much smoother than I had initially envisioned.
I also did some work on the model’s pistol holster, expanding it and making it capable of actually holding his Naval pistol. His original holster was unusually small, nowhere near the required size to hold his original slugga (or even the smaller Naval pistol I converted…).
Although still retaining many elements of the original Digga shaman, I think he has transitioned into a guardsman effectively, reminiscent to Sergeant Stone from Inquisitor.
I am debating on what model I want to convert next for INQ28, currently I am leaning towards converting a few Inquisitorial stormtroopers. If I go that route, I think I will use Forge World Death Korp of Krieg Grenadiers as the foundation (you just have to love their trenchcoats!). One of the main things I feel I would need to do is swap some of their weapons to other more common firearms, such as autorifles or shotguns.
As always any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Keep enjoying the hobby!
