Lately I've been trying to figure out how I am going to get that collectors set of Bugmans Brews back home from England, pretty sure it violates a couple air laws. Looking forward to Necromunda immensely as well as the new Death Guard codex. Mortarion might be the first Primarch I pickup but there's definitely some things that need to be fixed. From what we can see now that seems to be the issue with all the Death Guard. We shall see I suppose.Red Wet Skeletonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18315822743529781387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-1015195403525011362017-08-25T04:13:11.429-07:002017-08-25T04:13:11.429-07:00Also there were the Scavvies, but they were by Col...Also there were the Scavvies, but they were by Colin Dixon I'm pretty sure. Anyhow must go to the shed and dig some old lead to prime. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the rest of the models when they're released.

Also I laugh every time I think of the comment about Typhus (or Mortarion?) being paraplegic from the waist down!(Kym) + Warburton + (Classic40K) https://www.blogger.com/profile/17333928965917754588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-27522807205801534162017-08-25T04:08:43.328-07:002017-08-25T04:08:43.328-07:00I am quite excited too. I do not think it will change what I am doing at the moment either, but when they are finally released, I am sure we will come up with something to do with the models.Eric Wierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01276836738624222147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-60913826543940851362017-08-25T04:07:21.952-07:002017-08-25T04:07:21.952-07:00Yeah, I suppose you are right. Now would be a good time to try to paint some!Eric Wierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01276836738624222147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-43808126344218540992017-08-25T03:45:13.066-07:002017-08-25T03:45:13.066-07:00I'm actually quite stoked for Necromunda! I have my ratskins in progress obviously but I also have a complete Escher gang with all extras in mint condition (NIB) I've been wanting to do for ages.

Will it influence my AoM work? No I don't think so but it'll be easier to judge when it is out.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03705381808337789656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-89557042980797129032017-08-25T01:24:02.790-07:002017-08-25T01:24:02.790-07:00I think Morley did the van Saars and the Redemptio...I think Morley did the van Saars and the Redemptionists as well. The Perrys did the Delaques the Orlocks the Ratskins and the Cawdor. Unless I have missed one I think perhaps Goodwin only did the Escher. I have a lot of the old Eschers and van Saars; maybe time to paint a few...? I've always really wanted to make a Necromunda table but there's a lot of work involved! Or a lot of expense if you use the pre made scenery. Possibly the new ones will have more dynamic poses, but their detail and finesse seem lacking. I think you are right about Morley designing the Goliaths. I think Goodwin might have sculpted a few of the other gangs? I would have to look back at them more closely. The detail was finer (just look at the hair for example, how is it that models made with old technology in metal have way better detailed hair than these new ones) and whilst the new ones may be posed better, dare I say it - they are ugly whereas the old ones were beautiful....

I agree though that Necromunda has always been a Mad Max style gasoline warrior aesthetic whilst pretending to be a Cyberpunk genre.

Also I'm fairly sure the old Goliaths were designed by Gary Morley and the Eschers were Jes Goodwin.
