Interesting episode! Thanks for introducing me to another hobbyist/blog to follow. Really inspiring stuff on his site. After reading that letter my cursive never looked that good, I blame my left-handedness.
ReplyDeleteAlso you got me to read "Tender is the Flesh" in one sitting yesterday. Stark, evocative prose with a kind of Cormac McCarthy feel to it (weirdly clinical but poetic at the same time). Probably one of the least reliable narrators I've read, Winston Smith if he was a psychopath lying to the reader right up to the ending. I'll hit "The Unworthy" next. I'd forgotten Le Vourdalak, the trailer had looked interesting then it dropped right out of mind, one for the Watch List.
