I'm about to buy some more, so I'm open to looking at other things. It has hugely desirable characteristics, such as being rather strong when it dries, pretty good at sticking to itself (you do have to clean it very carefully to get this) and it isn't water soluble in the least. The one thing I'd prefer is that it dried a bit faster. It is nice that it is workable way longer than bondo, but I have to wait until the next day to do any carving of excess material.
Geoff Swensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09561794729246978257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-79643193983627914812022-08-28T15:00:41.404-07:002022-08-28T15:00:41.404-07:00What about Smooth On putty? It is pretty good at bonding to itself, it dries hard, and it is completely impervious to water. It is also is very, very strong, and doesn't have sand in it like bondo, so even though it is very hard, it doesn't kill your tools.

I'm about to buy some more to continue my sculpture, so I'm open to trying some other things.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-69662527701721439042022-03-31T03:32:45.192-07:002022-03-31T03:32:45.192-07:00Here is a link to the original http://www.polymeri...Here is a link to the original http://www.polymericsystems.com/epoxies-adhesives/epoxy-putty-tapes/kneadatite-blue-yellow.htmJosé Fabiánhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13201464342158001532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-14769717517249773852022-03-31T03:31:48.050-07:002022-03-31T03:31:48.050-07:00Green Stuff's original market was plumbing, wh...Green Stuff's original market was plumbing, which is why it being waterproof is a very useful feature, and is sold under the name Kneadatite. I have done most of the sculpting so far with milliput, but I hadn't thought of using green stuff for the finer detail.
