The Operation Icestorm models certainly are fantastic; it is great that Infinity finally has a boxed game to encourage people to give the game a try.Eric Wierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01276836738624222147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-48503094167806147402015-01-02T15:04:35.452-08:002015-01-02T15:04:35.452-08:00Yeah that is all you need. Their is also a larger version of the book that also contains the rules for a bunch of crews, it is $40 though. And since each crew you buy comes with the rules, the more expensive book is not necessary. They also sell a digital version too. You also need a standard deck of playing cards, although they sell malifaux themed ones.

A single crew box is a great start, and all you really need. It is easy to slowly add models to a force, based on stuff you think looks neat.Eric Wierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01276836738624222147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-58568039291671945672015-01-02T12:29:36.250-08:002015-01-02T12:29:36.250-08:00Well, you've definitely got me interested!

If so, that's pretty damn good, especially if the box sets are actually worth their weight, so to speak.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14352384024030746586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-85268942126930884612015-01-02T11:44:28.662-08:002015-01-02T11:44:28.662-08:00Thanks for the highlight on the Operation Icestorm...Thanks for the highlight on the Operation Icestorm box. Instead of dice it uses a deck of normal playing cards, giving you a range from 1-14 rather then 1-6 for 40k. It also uses the suits to trigger special abilities. This allows different units to seem very unique, rather then just a permutation of a space marine. Additionally, the models are excellent and full of character. They are made of a high quality hard plastic that I think I like even better then gw plastic. They buy in is not very expensive either. A single plastic crew box is an excellent start, and each even comes with a set of cards with the models rules. So if you are the least bit interested I would recommend looking into it further!Eric Wierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01276836738624222147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-92024967873714504492015-01-02T08:32:49.270-08:002015-01-02T08:32:49.270-08:00Thanks for selecting our blog! What makes it so different from other skirmish-type games that abound on the market?

Anyway, a great read (as usual) and I very much look forward what 2015 has in store for us hobbyists!

Cheers,

Q.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14352384024030746586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901426566557963132.post-38401811860706440192015-01-01T05:31:43.582-08:002015-01-01T05:31:43.582-08:00Thanks for another excellent writeup! I'll have to postpone reading this for a bit, though, because a single glance tells me that you've chosen the exact same three GW kits that are my favourite releases of 2014 as well -- and I'll have to come up with my own reasons for choosing them when my writeup goes up in a few days ;)

On a related note, you may want to check this out, because one could say you guys feature rather prominently in it:

https://eternalhunt.wordpress.com/2014/12/31/the-2014-eternal-hunt-awards-pt-1-the-hobbyists/KrautScientisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16992997405409517857noreply@blogger.com
